I have not actually used CucinaPro 1453 Stainless Steel Electric Skillet, since I was sent the wrong skillet.
I received the CucinaPro 1653, which is a non-stick skillet. I plan to send it back and when and if (a big if here) I receive the correct skillet I will use it and write a review.
In appearance, the Skillet looks very nice and I do like the non-skid feet. Other than that, I can not say good or bad about it. |
Better than no-stick

I'm very pleased with this skillet after 3 uses, even though I hated paying the price.
I paid it because I thought I deserved a really nice skillet, once in my life. I'm 71.
First, I seasoned it by frying bacon in it. Then, I wiped it out with paper towels.
I've cooked in it twice since then. Very little sticking, and easy to clean.
I never liked non-stick coatings, so I gave away my cheapie, non-stick-coated skillet.
If all you've had is cheapie skillets, try this one! You'll like it...but season it first. |
good quick cooking!

the item arived quickly and safely at my po box, i realy apreciate that, as a lot of supliers wil not ship to a po box!!
the skilet looks very stylish and is finished wel, i do not trust non stick coatings at all, so thank you for the stainles steel finish also! the unit cooks wel and the automatic control does its job.
clean up is quick and easy. the only negative i experienced is when steaming or boiling with water, there is considerable condensation drip off at the lids edges, so i had to put a towel on the counter to absorb the pool of water. maybe if the vent hole was larger this may help. thank you for a very useful kitchen tool. mike stanton. |

| I purchased my first CucinaPro skillet four months ago. The metal surface warped and I replaced it with another, hoping it was just a one shot problem. We were very careful with the second one. Never put anything cold in it, pouring cold water on hot metal, etc., but the surface buckled again. I am sending this back and not replacing it with anything CucinaPro. |
This thing is killer

My wife has a quite subdued esthetic taste. As the picture of the unit is shot, it looked too "out there" for her taste. But we needed a new skillet as the 30+ year older Farber unit finally died.
I took a flyer and bought the it.
This thing is light years better than the old unit and my wife just loves this skillet. Me too.
Heat response is not quite as good as cooking with gas but it is very nice indeed. |
